Happy New Year 2021

This blog is niche, I know. Especially as I have “promoted” mainly Capture One Fujifilm version in My blog.

Soon after starting My blog I acknowledged that I don’t want to concentrate to Fujifilm recipes for two reasons. One reason was that the in-camera settings didn’t cater all my needs and second was because there are already amazing amount of recipes available.

One thing I am wondering is that Capture One don’t seem to have gained much popularity amongst Fujifilm users. My main idea for this blog has been to offer free styles for Capture One that work with the free version of Capture One Fujifilm also.

Anyway, even as my Capture One-styles are set up to work with my Fujifilm camera they are compatible with all brands of cameras.

My time with this blog and it’s content has been very limited and I have had to concentrate to mainly for the styles thus neglecting many ideas I have had about experiences with Fujifilm.

Still, I am happy that this blog has been found so well. Statistics tell that the blog has had visitors from 85 countries during the Year 2020. Some of the countries are very exotic to me, but then again my country, Finland, might be exotic to some readers. The amount of visitors is around 2.000. All in all, within the niche area, there still has been interest.

I wish to all the readers and sudden visitors good, happy and photographically even more succesfull Year 2021! Let Your photography be a way to escape from any things that otherwise might put You down, and concentrate to see things others might miss.

A change in layout

I decided to change the layout as I found the old one too much concentrated to my photos and not so much to the content itself. Well, I guess the time is near that I even need to change platform or start paying for the storage space, but for now I can even make post that don’t have photos at all 🙂

Hope this new (old) look is okay while it isn’t so modern.

New blog – the purpose

My journey with Fuji X cameras has been relatively short. I bought a Fuji X-H1 on March 2018.

My photography is quite limited, as I am taking mostly photos of my daughter’s dressage riding, our horse, and occasionally some personal hobby photos.

The X-H1 was the only camera that had low enough shutter sound (and I mean mechanical shutter) for the time being with suitable lenses to be used in quiet very low-light indoor-arenas with relatively high shutter speeds (1/500 sec. minimum).

I previously had a Canon DSLR (that sounded like a machine gun in quiet environments) that had beautiful colors, but I was practically stuck with only one look in photos. Fuji appealed to me also because it had more color choices in-camera, I was especially dreaming of the B&W options as I never was very good in post processing and felt hopeless with raw-converters.
